STAR HOSPITAL OBSERVES NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH

13th September, Hyderabad: Star Hospital is celebrating National Nutrition Month by promoting healthy eating and living. Department of Dietetics at Star Hospital hosted a variety of events & competitions to empower Dieticians and other staff. Dr. Padma, HOD & Chief Dietitian & Dr. Nirmala Sr. Dietitian along with other Dieticians graced the event with their presence.
Nutrition is the cornerstone of healthy living. Good nutrition supports growth and development, maintains body function, and optimizes performance. In short, a balanced diet will help you feel great while also supporting your physical activities. National Nutrition Month is celebrated every year to educate people and create awareness in the society about the significance of Nutrition.
This year the National Nutrition Month Focusses on theme on “Celebrate A World of Flavours”
Dr. Padma, HOD & Chief Dietitian, Star Hospitals, said, “Nutrition Month is a national initiative to help individuals and families make healthy food choices. This month is also a great opportunity for individuals to learn more about their own diet and how they can improve their eating habits. By eating healthier, we can all have a better chance at living longer and healthier lives. I thank my colleagues and management of Star Hospitals for organizing this event.”
This month-long campaign encourages everyone to eat a nutritious diet full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products. It also aims to raise awareness about the importance of nutrition for children and adults alike.
