A Symposium on Cataract Techniques and Technologies was organised by Win Vision Hospital in Hyderabad. Renowned ophthalmologists across South India attended the event and shared their clinical experiences. The main topic of the symposium was about advanced techniques and cutting-edge technologies used to deal with challenging cataract cases.
Dr Sreelakshmi, the Managing Director of Win Vision Hospital elaborated on how new technologies have helped surgeons in attaining the best possible outcomes. Dr Sreelakshmi is also the first female ophthalmologist in the world to have performed the complex Femtosecond Laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS).
The CEO of Win Vision Hospital, Dr Surendranath, talked about the advanced cataract treatment technologies in India and also expressed his views on the different kinds of intraocular lenses. He was of the opinion that FLACS technology helps surgeons undertake extremely complicated cases and obtain high rates of success.
