RARE HONOUR FOR CITY BASED CARDIAC SURGEON DR. LOKESWARA RAO SAJJA OF STAR HOSPITALS ELECTED AS JUNIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF CARDIOVASCULAR THORACIC SURGEONS

Dr. Lokeswara Rao Sajja, Director of Research & Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Star Hospitals, President - Society of Coronary Surgeons, Chairman-Sajja Heart Foundation and an Active Member of American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) has been elected as a Junior Vice President during 67th Annual Conference of Indian Association of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS) held between 26-28th Feb, 2021. He shall be installed as the President of IACTS after 2 years.
The landmark study, Promote Patency Trial, was recently conducted by Dr. Lokeswara Rao Sajja (Star hospital, Hyderabad), Dr. Kunal Sarkar (Medica Hospital, Kolkata), Dr. Gopichand Mannam (Star Hospital, Hyderabad), Dr. Krishna Kumar (KIMS, Hyderabad), Dr. P. Chandrashekar (GKNM Hospital, Coimbatore), Dr. Sanjeeth Peter (DDMM Heart Institute, Gujarat) and Dr. Anvay Mulay (Fortis Hospital, Mumbai) and published in Indian Journal of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery and accessed by 12000 surgeons all over the World. During the 67th Annual Conference of IACTS Dr. Sajja received Best Original Article – 2020 award. Promote patency trial is a milestone in academic and scientific validation of the clinical works that in being done in our country.
