Primary Total Knee Replacement workshop for Doctors held at SLG Hospitals

SLG Hospitals, one of the leading healthcare facilities in the city today organized a state-level hands-on Knee Arthroplasty or Primary Total Knee Replacement workshop in association with the Telangana Orthopaedic Surgeons Association. More than 50 junior orthopaedic doctors, and senior consultants participated in the daylong event organized to share experiences and enhance learnings on knee replacement surgeries.

With sedentary lifestyles creeping into human lives, there is an alarming increase in the number of people who are suffering from osteo arthritis and other problem which result into bone degeneration which ultimately necessitates a procedure like knee replacement. There is an eminent need to ensure more knowledge and ideas are exchanged between healthcare practitioners and medical professionals to ensure our healthcare machinery is well prepared to cater to the needs of people.

Commenting on the workshop, Dr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Senior Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon, SLG Hospitals and coordinator for the workshop said, “This hands-on workshop with many practical models displayed was a great opportunity for junior orthopaedic surgeons. Experts with decades of experience shared their knowledge and expertise with those who the future of this field. Many important facets of knee replacement surgery were discussed and debated during the sessions.”
