INSIGHTFUL CME AT MALLA REDDY NARAYANA MULTISPECIALITY HOSPITAL (MRNMH) ON DIABETES THYROID PROBLEMS IN PREGNANT WOMEN

An insightful CME was organized by Malla Reddy Narayana Multispeciality Hospital (MRNMH) & Malla Reddy Women’s College on the topic of Diabetes & thyroid problems in pregnant women. 160 Doctors including consultants at MRNMH, PG Students of various medical colleges including Osmania Medical College, Muslim Maternity and Malla Reddy Health City participated in this seminar. Dr.Bhadra Reddy & Dr.Balamba graced the event as Chief Guests.The inspirational speech by Dr.Balamba propelled the invigorating vibes of the young generation. It was an excellent opportunity for the PG students to hone their skills and expertise with the aid of insightful speeches rendered by eminent speakers like Dr. P. Sudhakar Reddy(Endocrinologist)& Dr. P. Sreedevi (Endocrinologist), Dr. Sreenath B (Fetal Medicine), Dr. Saranya (Nutritionist) and Dr. Pranathi Reddy&Dr. Aditya, Dr. Ramana Spoke on different aspects of Diabetes & Thyroid problems in pregnant women.  Seminar ended with an exciting quiz for PG students.

Diabetes and thyroid problems in pregnant women may increase the risk of complications for both mother and baby. For a mother, this may include preeclampsia, pre-existing diabetes that worsens, gestational diabetes, or diabetic ketoacidosis. In addition to gestational diabetes, this can also lead to obesity or obesity-related medical problems during pregnancy. The health of the baby may be impacted by increased birth weight and increased risk of premature birth. This event was focussed to shed light on the latest advancements in the field of Diabetes and thyroid problems in pregnant women.
