Arrhythmia symposium at KIMS Hospital

Arrhythmia Research and Training Society (ARTS) in association with KIMS Hospitals organized a one-day Arrhythmia symposium at KIMS Hospital, Minister Road. This educative symposium was attended by 500 cardiologists, physicians and fellows from AP and Telangana. Apart from distinguished electrophysiologists from all over the country, the faculty also included an International speaker.

The Course Director, Dr B. Hygriv Rao, Chief of Electrophysiology and Pacing Division, KIMS Hospitals and President ART Society enumerated the objectives of the symposium. He said that good patient outcomes depend not only on and interventions but also on the physician's ability to take right decisions by integrating clinical assessment, advanced investigations and standard guidelines. This symposium has been designed to reinforce these essential skills through interactive discussions of real-life clinical scenarios by experienced experts. By analysing practical cases, participants will gain insights into diagnostic reasoning, evidence-based management, and the nuances of individualized patient care, thereby strengthening their ability to make informed and effective clinical decisions in everyday practice.

Dr. Sambit Sahoo, the Medical Director and Chief Critical care division, KIMS Hospitals inaugurating the symposium said that involvement of Heart Rhythm specialists has enhanced the standards of patient care in cardiology. He exhorted the young physicians to utilize, to the fullest, these learning opportunities from the national faculty of Heart rhythm experts. He highlighted the research done by the Arrhythmia division of KIMS, under the leadership of Dr Hygriv Rao and its contribution to designing cost-effective treatments.
