Aware Gleneagles Global Hospitals Organizes Stroke Awareness Program

Hyderabad, November 2, 2018: Aware Gleneagles Global Hospitals, a Parkway Pantai Enterprise organized a Stroke Awareness to educate people about the risks of stroke, along with life-saving prevention strategies. When a stroke occurs early recognition of the symptoms and immediate treatment are critical. The Stroke Awareness program is to understand the symptoms, raise attentiveness of stroke risk and encourage patients to seek quality preventive treatment and critical acute care when symptoms are detected.

The Stroke Awareness Program is a part of the on-going “I am Emergency Ready” program. The objective of ‘ I am Emergency Ready’ initiative is to minimize the damage and loss during medical emergencies by training the public to administer immediate care to keep a patient stable until medical help arrives. In this extended program, the hospital’s healthcare teams are introducing improved services to treat patients along with giving education to people about the risk of stroke, teaching life-saving prevention strategies, to notice the warning signs including swift recognition of symptoms, rapid access to specialist services and prompt medical treatment.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Suresh Reddy, Consultant Neurologist said, “Stroke is a preventable and treatable disease but urgency is needed in both identifying the symptoms and bringing the patient to the hospital for the specialist assessment and treatment. Improving support to individuals following the stroke can also help them achieve the best recovery.”
