WHAT CAUSES MALE BREAST ENLARGEMENT?

Male breast enlargement can affect men of any age, and is not associated with any particular medical conditions. It is caused by various factors, including hormonal changes during puberty, lack of physical activity, obesity, and genetics. Male breast enlargement can also be a symptom of certain medical conditions or problems. Therefore, it is important to rule out the causes of male breast enlargement before exploring treatment options.

Male breast enlargement often appears in younger men, who tend to see it as a sign of virility rather than as a health problem. If you notice enlarged nipples or excessive sweating in your armpits, you are probably experiencing male breast enlargement. This article discusses common causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options for male breast enlargement.

HORMONAL CHANGES DURING PUBERTY

Hormonal changes during puberty is a very common cause of male breast enlargement. During puberty, hormones like testosterone and dihydrotestosterone stimulate the growth of the mammary glands. This can lead to enlargement of breasts in males.

LACK OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The low levels of prolactin can lead to breast enlargement. If you are not regularly engaged in sports, exercise, or other activities that are associated with increased production of prolactin, your breasts may increase in size.

OBESITY

Obese men can experience male breast enlargement due to the influence of excess fat tissue on the breast. Excess fat tissue in the breast can lead to breast hypertrophy, which is the medical term for male breast enlargement.

GENETICS

Some men are born with smaller than normal breast size, while others have larger breasts than they were destined to have. However, if you have never had any breast problems before, you may be experiencing male breast enlargement due to genetics.

MALE BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY

There are many different types of male breast reduction surgery depending on what caused the man’s breasts to grow in the first place. Male breast reduction surgery is a procedure that reduces the size of breasts in order to make them appear more proportional and natural. In this process, excess fat tissue in the breast & gland is removed through surgery.

After undergoing male breast reduction surgery, many men are able to resume their normal activities in a day or two. Patients should avoid lifting heavy objects for at least 3 weeks after the procedure. The patient should dress comfortably and make sure to wear tight garments for 3 weeks post surgery.

Male breast enlargement can be a source of embarrassment and discomfort. However, it is important to remember that it is not harmful and can be easily treated with surgery which gives better psychological outcome and good shape to chest.
