If we take necessary precautions, identify the symptoms and take proactive measures, we can prevent the onset of adverse stage where surgery needs to be performed. Preventive healthcare is beyond everything. These kinds of events are very helpful to educate people and raise awareness.”
Dr. Sukumar Sura, Chairman & Managing Director, Asian Spine Hospital, said, “Prevention is always better than cure. Spine problems can affect anyone, and this event was a great way to spread awareness. The aim of this event was to let people know that they are not alone and that there are ways to treat their issues. One of the best things you can do to prevent spine issues is to take necessary precautions such as being physically active, maintaining healthy weight, maintaining proper posture, avoid lifting weights which are not appropriate for your physical abilities etc.”
Mr. Naresh Kumar Pagidimarry, CEO & Director, Asian Spine Hospital, said, “In this fast-paced life, we seldom take out time to maintain our well-being and health. As per a report, it is found that more than 50% of desk job employees are suffering with back and neck pain. This is mainly because of lack of awareness about maintaining proper posture and sedentary lifestyle. It is leading to a lot of spinal issues which is significantly comprising the quality of life. We, at Asian Spine Hospital have took an initiative to create awareness about the Preventive Spinal Care. With this program, we aspire to educate people on preventing back and neck pain”.
People of all ages participated in the event proactively. Not to mention, this event also helped to raise awareness about the importance of stretching and maintaining good posture throughout the day to prevent back pain and serious spine issues. Spine issues can be treated, and they can also be prevented. While there are many ways to ease back pain, such as exercise, it is best to visit the doctor if the pain does not go away after a few days. It is especially important to see a doctor if the pain is increasing in intensity.
