Sree Fertility Centre provides infertility care

Issues of infertility are rapidly rising in India with 30 million infertile couples in the country and an alarming 20-30 percent year on year rise in incidence seen in the last five years. Compounding the problem is changing lifestyles, junk food consumption, stress, lack of physical exercise, long working hours, medical disorders like obesity and diabetes, rising environmental pollution, late marriages etc.

Our Srinagar Colony Centre has been attracting considerably large number of couples from the new city areas of Cyberabad including Madhapur, Kondapur, Gachibowli, Kukatpally, off late. This woke us up to the need for this new Centre at Kondapur to reach out to such couples. We subsequently discovered the rampant phenomenon of infertility in this part of the city, which is densely populated with young couples and a significantly high percentage of whom are childless, says Dr. Aradhya Achuri.
 
Our studies prior to the commissioning of the Sree Fertility Centre at Kondapur, threw up some startling pointers. A high percentage of couples in this part of the city being young, often both are employed in highly demanding jobs with high-stress levels. They hardly have time for themselves and spend very little time together, satiate with junk food, no physical exercise and often running against deadlines leading to enormous stress and diseases like diabetes, hypertension and obesity, all underlying causes for infertility, says Dr. Aradhya Achuri. We are working with such couples to provide appropriate infertility care in addition to counseling to bring about change in their lifestyles.
