Hyderabad, January 8th, 2019: Morpheus Kasturi International IVF Center, Secunderabad, an Indo-German initiative between the leaders in Infertility care Morpheus IVF and Kasturi Multispeciality Hospital, Secunderabad, announced its world-class Infertility services at its facility at Secunderabad. These Services are backed by the enormous experience of German Doctors in the field of Infertility Care and expertise of Dr. Kalpana M, a Senior and Core Fertility Specialist. Morpheus Kasturi International IVF Center is part of India's leading chain of fertility centers spread across the country, offering IVF (In-vitro Fertilisation) care, of the highest standard.

The German promoters of Morpheus come with extensive experience of over 30,000 IVF cycles performed till date, spanning over two decades. They have a track record of the highest pregnancy rate infertility treatment, which in turn is 10% above the national average of that country. Dr. Ulrich Schneider, Chairman, Morpheus, was part of the team which delivered the first test tube baby in Germany. Morpheus Kasturi International IVF Center brings in the international standard protocols, embryological procedures, drugs, and media selection from the highly successful program in Germany, for IVF patients here.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kalpana M, Core Fertility Specialist, Morpheus Kasturi International IVF Center said, “The key to improving the success rate in IVF treatment is appropriate diagnosis and the Fertility Specialist's expertise to determine the apt treatment option for the patient and the high standard labs. Morpheus Kasturi International IVF Center, has in depth know-how and modern technology to treat the most complicated case with the best outcomes.”

Dr. Kalpana went on to say, “We are seeing a greater incidence of infertility of late, and the alarming aspect is that these are at a much younger age. Normally, the decline of the ovarian store and the resultant reduced egg production is seen in women at an age of 37-40 years, but of late we are seeing this at a much younger age of 27-29 years and that is perplexing. The reasons could be genetic to an extent, but more of these could be attributed to lifestyle modifications, diet, lack of exercise, pollution, etc. In case a decline is seen in the ovarian store of a woman, any further attempt to delay conceiving could only jeopardize the woman getting pregnant, as her egg-producing ability reduces further and further over time. Block in both the tubes is the commonest problem for not conceiving in women, but of late we are seeing more male related problems like less sperm count, sperm motility is less, etc.”

Dr. Kalpana added, “We are offering a unique plan of ‘Double your chances of pregnancy’, as the success rate of IVF is around 30-40% the world over, and research indicates that the success rate can improve to 50-60%, if a second or third cycle is done at the same center. This is possible as each patient's system reacts to the treatment differently, and some become pregnant with the very first cycle while in others, if the conventional procedure fails, a different protocol more suitable for the woman could be tried the second time. This way the success rate improves, and chances of pregnancy are higher.

The internationally acknowledged best practices coupled with state of the art embryology equipment will enable the highest standard care at a patient-friendly price at Morpheus Kasturi International IVF CenterWe are confident of replicating the care and success rate being achieved at our facilities in Germany and across India, here as well, which will set a benchmark for others, says Dr. Ulrich Gohring, Principal, IVF University of Tubingen, Germany. We train the Indian doctors in the latest techniques and keep them abreast with what is available anywhere in the world. Also, one of the pillars of Morpheus philosophy is ethical practice, and we stringently follow this by leaving no scope for mixing of the sperm and egg of different couples.

Since the internationally accepted average success rate of IVF treatment being in the range of 30-40%, to mitigate the burden on Indian patients seeking IVF treatment, Morpheus Kasturi International IVF Center, is introducing a clinically result oriented and cost-effective treatment plan, "Double Your Chances of Pregnancy" for IVF / ICSI treatment. As part of this, patients will be eligible for a second cycle at no extra procedural cost, if the first cycle does not lead to clinical pregnancy. The costing as per this plan is Rs 1,20,000/-.

Infertility, as defined by WHO, is the failure to conceive following twelve months of unprotected intercourse in the absence of any known pathology. Global estimates of infertility range between 8-12% of couples with women of childbearing age, affecting between 50 - 80 million people. The rate of infertility is estimated to be equal at 30% in both males and females, due to various deficiencies. Problems common to both partners are diagnosed in 15-30% of infertile couples and another 10-15 % of couples suffer from unexplained infertility, where the cause is undiagnosed. The usual factors of infertility in women are ovulatory disorders, damaged fallopian tubes, endometriosis, tuberculosis, uterine abnormality, endocrine abnormality like Hyperprolactinemia etc., and in men are low sperm count, sperm motility problem, sperm morphology problem, and rare genetic problem. The success rate of IVF treatment depends on several factors like age of the female partner, hormonal profile, clinical diagnosis, uterine factor, systemic factor, and other conditions.

The treatment options offered by Morpheus Kasturi International IVF Center, include IUI (Intrauterine insemination), ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) through treatments such as PESA (Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) for those with blocked ducts and TESE (Testicular Sperm Extraction), for couples having low sperm count and TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration) and MESA (Microsurgical Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) for those with no sperm cells in their sperm. The Center also has a robust Sperm Donor Program for couples where the husband's semen has no sperm
