Kohinoor Hospital celebrated International Women's Day 2019 with more than 100 women coming together to mark the occasion. Employees brought their elderly mothers and mothers in law, and women employees took time off from office and participated in the fun filled event organised at the hospital. The event focused on the cause and highlighted the need to respect women. This celebration helped bring together women from all walks of life, who shared their enriching experiences. Kohinoor Hospital offered special preventive health checks to all the women who attended.

To celebrate the occasion and to surprise their partners, men came forward and participated in a cooking competition, where they made tasty food. “Laughter is the best medicine," said 25 year old Rahil Khan, who did mimicry to make his grandmother and every one laugh. Vidisha Parekh, Chief Dietitian gave a talk on how nutritious food can keep all age groups healthy.

Dr. Gurvinder Singh Sawhney, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Kohinoor Hospital, said, "The objective of this initiative is to educate women to reduce the risk of lifestyle diseases by emphasising the importance of preventive health check-ups, as they are the integral part of the family and society. Every woman needs to take proper care of her health and her lifestyle choices. We should celebrate Women's Day by taking responsibility for the care of every woman’s health."

Dr. Snehal Kansaria, COO, Kohinoor Hospital said, "It is a privilege for a hospital to engage with women from all sections of society, to help build the cause of respecting and empowering women. Through these interactions on The International Women's Day celebration we aim to spread the message of health, awareness and security for women and we are extremely pleased with the enthusiastic participation from the all nurses and staff to bring everyone together."
