Hyderabad, 21 June, 2018: Yoga is a way of life. In the current age, to lead a happy, healthy and meaningful life, it is important to have some healthy lifestyle which includes yoga. Expectant mothers are also catching up with yoga so that they can stay fit and healthy during their pregnancy and post-pregnancy period.
21st June, on the occasion of international yoga day, the yoga team at KIMS Cuddles has successfully’ launched a new session called Post-natal pregnancy yoga classes along with many other activities. The idea behind the session is to give pregnant couples support through various stages of pregnancy, and even after child birth. 25 new moms have attended the session today.
Postnatal yoga classes are very important as well as useful as every new mother faces many physical as well as emotional changes post-delivery. Yoga is a great way to relieve the soreness and stress that comes with the new member of the family. Yoga also recharges and keeps the body energized to deal with the lil one.
It’s been a year since yoga was launched at Cuddles, an exclusive women and child hospital by KIMS. Team at KIMS cuddles - Dr. Prathima, Dr. Udaya Laxmi, Mrs. Nirmala and sis Sheeja conduct these classes with lot of passion and care at KIMS Cuddles Yoga hall. To make the session interesting, and to motivate the couples, the team has taken efforts to create fusion like yogic dance to garbhasanskar yoga giving international experience to all the couples attending these sessions. Stress-free environment and happy souls has been the motto of KIMS Cuddles and every day the team comes up with new tips and tricks which are exciting for the ladies in their most special days of life.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shilpi Reddy, HOD (Obs and Gynaec), said, “It is like a celebration every day at KIMS Cuddles. Our day would start at 8am with pregnant couple yoga followed by garbhasanskar yoga and fusion yogic dance with theme music. We are very pleased to launch post-natal yoga classes on this international yoga day for all delivered women concentrating on how to get back to normal and healthy life with the help of yoga and physiotherapy.”
“To make it easy for the moms and to increase the involvement and participation we are simultaneously conducting classes for newborns, infants, and Toddlers who will accompany their mothers to these classes. These little miracles would be learning about various color stimulations, sounds, and rhymes and we would also be teaching newborn care and tips for child care in these classes,” she added.
