It is important to remove toxins from our body on a regular basis. The body does this naturally through the kidneys and other organs. In this way, toxins are eliminated through sweat, urine and other waste materials. However, the natural process may get slowed down in some cases when you are suffering from any illness or the toxin load on your body may be too much for the body. In this situation, you need to eat the right kind of food to remove the toxins from the body.

What is detoxification?

In simple terms, this is the purification of the blood and this process helps your body to heal faster and it will stay in good health without many problems. You can start this program by increasing the intake of certain foods that boost the detoxification process.

Green Tea

If you have been drinking lots of coffee or tea, you can switch over to green tea and see the difference it makes to your health in the long run. This is loaded with antioxidants and it is the best way to begin your detox program early in the morning. However, make sure to use it moderately as overuse can lead to some undesired results in some cases. It is advisable to use honey instead of sugar in the green tea as this will further enhance the antioxidant properties of this wonderful beverage.

Leafy Vegetables

You can eat any vegetable of your choice as long as it is leafy and green. It is a good idea to eat them in big quantities on a regular basis to kick start your detox program. The best part about using such vegetables is that you can include them in your everyday dishes and even eat them in your salads. They contain chlorophyll that boosts your overall health.

Beetroot

Beetroot is loaded with antioxidants and minerals like iron and magnesium. Apart from that, it is also a good source of vitamin C and it boosts the red blood cells in the body. It cleans the impurities in the blood and most doctors suggest this food to patients who are recovering from general weakness problems. You can even drink beetroot juice and enjoy its complete benefits in the natural form.

Lemon

The simple detox program you can start in the morning is to use lemon juice. This can boost the vitamin C levels in the body and also help you to remove the toxins in an effective manner. It is also alkaline in nature and this is a good way to adjust the pH balance in your body. You can also use honey along with lemon juice to get additional benefits.
