While marking 10 years of service on Star Hospitals renewed its commitment to serving society with world-class medical facilities powered by excellence, expertise, and empathy.

In the august gathering of medical visionaries like Dr. Nagarjuna Reddy, Chairman, Dr. Gopichand Mannam, MD, and Dr. Ramesh Gudapati, Joint MD, as Star Hospitals looked back at its many achievements and milestones, the moment was sealed with a significant gesture that demonstrated their empathy towards humanity in distress.

The recent floods at Kerala caused widespread devastation, and Star Hospitals felt the pain of the people who were displaced from their homes, and those who lost their loved ones. Said Dr. Gopichand Mannam, M.D., “Considering that Kerala as a state is so devoted to caring for others – as is evident from a large number of nurses and other healthcare professionals who come from Kerala and serve across India, we at Star hospitals feel that the least we can do is to give back to this community who has ceaselessly given to the cause of the suffering. Hence, on this auspicious day, Star Hospitals’ Management and Staff have contributed a day’s salary amounting to Rs. 15 lakhs, to contribute to the Kerala CM’s Relief Fund.”

Though no amount is ever enough to alleviate the suffering of the extent that Kerala experienced during the recent floods, Star hopes that this amount will go towards helping in the restoration and rebuilding that the State is undertaking on behalf of those who lost their homes and property in the floods.
