The Indian Healthcare System is growing amid grave shortcomings, concerns and is crying for attention. With the change in lifestyle and with increasing levels of stress, people give low priority to their health and also people are hesitant in going to the hospital given today's scenario. An integrated healthcare delivery system in terms of affordability and good quality is what is required today. With life expectancy increasing significantly in India, home health care is becoming mandatory.

As per CyberMedia Research, the market for home healthcare in India is projected to reach $6.2 billion by 2020, growing at a CAGR of 18% from $3.2-billion in 2016. Experts in the field have estimated that for an average individual, 70% of health care needs can be met in the home environment. This will also result in better health outcomes and lower medical costs for the patients.

This is on behalf of Critical Care Unified (CCU) - an organization that provides comprehensive services in Home Healthcare. A growing niche in the industry and bench marking on the objectives set, Critical Care Unified focuses on providing service to patients going through Critical and chronic illnesses. The company commenced operations on December 1, 2016 and is based in New Delhi.

In the successful journey of 1 year, the founders of Critical Care Unified recognized the existing gap in the Home Healthcare landscape and how the use of technology could drive significantly higher levels of efficiency and user experience. This led to the creation of Critical Care Unified, which aims to not only bridge the gap in Home Healthcare by leveraging the power of technology, but also deliver services with exceptional quality and compassion to consumers who need it at a stressful time. The motive behind this venture was to deliver superior services in Home Healthcare, thus obviating need for long stay/ extended stay at hospitals, while providing adequate care at a significantly reduced cost and is devoid of the high chances of infections acquired in hospitals.
